I'm 35 and have had hooded eyes all my life. It's great to finally find useful tips from someone who also has as hooded eyes as me. I've seen other tutorials where people have said they have hooded eyes but either they actually don't or they're not as hooded as mine, so the tips don't work for me. Looking forward to trying some of your tutorials!
@@Liv-gr5vl oh great! I’m so happy they are helpful for you 🥰 I know I felt the same way when I was younger and now I love doing my makeup on my hooded eyes ❤️ so glad you’re here too! X
I have hooded eyes too (I'm 56). Sometimes, I use eyelid tape to lift the hoods. I rarely do a winged liner but I always tightline. I use a brush if it's a serum foundation, otherwise a damp sponge.... or sometimes both if I have slacked off on skincare, IFKYK, right? Thanks for using all drugstore products; there are some great products and dupes to be found there. Yes please to a brush video. I love how your complete look is balanced with a flawless base.
Love it!! 💜 I prefer the Elf blender for foundation. And YES to the video about your makeup brushes. I use Jessup brushes and love them so much, they are very affordable, got them on Amazon.
@@xaimara13 yes! They’re one of my favs love jessup brushes. Oo I have an elf one too and use it all the time 🥰 I’m definitely going to making a brush video 😉 xx
Gorgeous!!! Love love love it!! I kinda gave up on winged liner. If I really want the look I'll attempt the shadow wing but that's still a learning point for me lol! My current make up skills need work!!
@@almatoledo1608 thank you!! 😊 yess! Sometimes you have to play around with the angle of the wing to see what looks best on your specific eyeshape so try it a few times!! 🥰
I have hooded eyes but they are also very asymmetrical - I know everybody's face is assymetrical but my eyes are very much noticeably different, the right one is much more hooded than the left one so I've learned that if I want my eyeliner to look "symmetrical" I have to draw a very different shape on each eye so the final effect looks the same. So how do you place the tape symmetrically (same angle, etc) on both eyes? (Also commenting for the algorithm, thank you so much for recommending me those false lashes)
@@yeahnotdoingthat hmm you may have to play around with the angle of the tape to see what looks best on each eye. My eyes aren’t the same either…most peoples aren’t so you just might need to make little adjustments to make it “appear” the same.
I recently found your channel. I saw one of your videos and now I can't find it. It was (pencil) eyeliner for hooded eyes but without the extended wing. It opened the eye beautifully. Maybe you can put a link. I'd love to see it again and I really would appreciate it! Thank you!
@@mikaysmakeup thanks. I'm not sure about the shadow! it was about opening up the eye area but you used a dark pencil and made a very short straight line -- without extending it :). It was awesome I wish I could find it!
@@mikaysmakeupstill ain’t turn out right, and I think it might be because on my right eye I can see fine to do it, but when I get to my other eye I think it’s worse in vision wise so it never ends up looking right
@@kimmiemiller8118 oh no! Try using a black eyeshadow as the liner instead and then you can easily fix it. I almost always use black eyeshadow instead 🥰 hope that helps a little 😊 xx
How do you make the eye makeup, esp the winged liner, stay on from being hot and sweaty? I've used a setting spray, but the liner still comes off at the wings.

Can you do an everyday makeup look for hooded eyes? ❤
@@monicapatton1405 yes! Definitely
One of my eyes is more hooded than the other and it closes at the outer corner. If I sweat or tear up it melts on that corner.
@@justatexasgirl5583 hmmm that’s tough have you tried setting it with a translucent powder? It might help lock it in

See, I wouldn't have the black liquid liner flicking downward like that, I'd flick it up even if only slightly, otherwise it turns your eyes down.
